Nonprofit Sustainability Center

Who We Work With

The Nonprofit Sustainability Center partners with mission-driven organizations, funders, and collaborative initiatives that are working to strengthen communities and achieve lasting impact. Our partners come to us at pivotal moments – when they are navigating growth, responding to urgent community needs, or seeking to sustain outcomes beyond a single program cycle. Across all sectors and organizational stages, we help leaders protect what is working, adapt to changing conditions, and build the resilient capacities needed to thrive long term.

We partner with organizations committed to strengthening communities and delivering meaningful, lasting results. Our work spans a wide range of partners, from emerging grassroots groups to large, multi-service organizations and funders investing in system-level change.

Our Partners Include:

  • Nonprofit Organizations: From community-based startups to established organizations with regional and statewide reach, we support nonprofits at every stage of development to build the clarity, capacity, and resilience needed for transformative impact.
  • Philanthropic Institutions: We work with foundations and funders seeking to strengthen their grantee portfolios, enhance the sustainability of funded initiatives, and ensure their investments lead to durable, measurable outcomes.
  • Coalitions & Cross-Sector Partnerships: We help multi-organization collaborations design shared strategies, mobilize diverse stakeholders, and work collectively toward equity-focused, system-level change.

Sectors We Serve

Our partners work across a wide array of fields, including:

  • housing
  • health and human services
  • education
  • children, families, and youth
  • arts and culture
  • reproductive health and women’s issues
  • LGBTQIA+ organizing
  • domestic and sexual violence services
  • equity and social justice initiatives (including groups led by and for communities of color)
  • community revitalization
  • environmental and climate resilience
  • international peacebuilding and cross-border collaborations
  • and more

Across all sectors, NSC’s work is grounded in a single goal: to strengthen the essential capacities that allow organizations and communities to achieve – and sustain – meaningful outcomes over time.
