Our studies commonly make use of surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, document analysis, literature review, case study analysis, and a wide scope of secondary data sources, including data available through the Institute’s Massachusetts State Data Center. Implementation of these data collection methods is supported by a range of technology tools, including Qualtrics® web survey software, Cardiff TeleForm® optical scanning software, and AdobeConnect® web meeting software.

We have extensive experience in designing, implementing and integrating complex statistical and quantitative analyses. We carefully assess the requirements of each research project and build customized data analysis plans in response to those requirements. In addition to expertise with specific analytical methods, we routinely manage and analyze secondary data, such as statewide student-level data sets, and other state or federal data sources, such as those available through the College Board and the U.S. Census.
