ARPE Services: Applied Social Science Research
ARPE helps clients ask and answer practical questions that lead to policy decisions, inform organization and system development, and assist in the design and implementation of programs. While many of our projects are focused on the evaluation of a specific program or initiative, we routinely engage in other applied research projects. These include needs assessments, market assessments, and targeted literature reviews, as well as development and validation of measurement tools and data collection systems.
Our team brings a practical, rigorous, and cooperative approach to program evaluation with expertise in both the formative and summative aspects of assessment. With an emphasis on partner-driven collaboration, we work closely with our clients, providing them with ongoing insight into program implementation and measuring whether programs are achieving their intended outcomes. We have the capacity to work on all phases of a project, beginning as collaborators in the grant writing process and evolving our role as the project progresses. During a program’s early stages, the emphasis may lean toward formative evaluation activities, assessing implementation and providing feedback to support improvement. As a program gains maturity, the focus typically shifts towards summative evaluation, assessing whether and under what conditions programs are achieving key outcomes.
