Services provided by the Head Start Real Property Facilities Initiative
The Head Start Real Properties Facilities Initiative, launched in February 2019, has four core services:
- Supporting the 12 regional Head Start offices in their work with local grantees for accurate and timely filing of property status reports and related property records.
- Providing expertise including title and recording of real estate property research, construction, architecture, and property finance review to the regional offices and the central Office of Head Start.
- Assisting the regional offices in their review of applications to purchase, construct, and renovate facilities.
- Training to regional office staff throughout the project, focused on specialized facilities content and emerging issues.
