July 2005
A thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis of the economic impact of payroll and expenditures at the Otis ANG Base was conducted. The analysis incorporated full payroll, contracting and other expenditure data from the 102 nd Fighter Wing. The Donahue Institute interviewed staff from the 102 nd Fighter Wing of the Otis ANG, U.S. Coast Guard, Massachusetts Army National Guard as well as representatives and officials from the adjacent communities and the fishing industry and utilized IMPLAN, an industry standard econometric modeling system for specifying indirect and induced economic impacts.
