Donahue Data Dash: Census 2020 Data by Age and Sex: the Census 2020 Demographic and Housing Characteristics File (DHC)

On May 25th, 2023, the U.S. Census Bureau released the Census 2020 Demographic and Housing Characteristics File (DHC). This dataset includes data on age, sex, race, Hispanic or Latino origin, household type, relationship to householder, group quarters population, housing occupancy, and housing tenure. The data can be accessed at data.census.gov and is available down to the block level.
In the UMDI dashboard, data users will find data for the total population by County and MCD (city or town) as well as population by five-year age groups and sex. Uses may also view the instructions and sources dashboard tile for more information on the individual visualizations.
