Keep open minds on Education Task Force ideas
Berkshire Eagle columnist Clarence Fanto discusses the results of the first phase of a UMass Donahue Institute study on the future of public education delivery in Berkshire County. The Institute's client, The Berkshire County Education Task Force, is a group of current and former school administrators and educators, school committee members, town administrators, and local business leaders who have concluded that the county’s public schools face reductions in educational quality due to declining student enrollment and revenues that are not keeping pace with costs.
The study was led by Senior Research Manager Eliot Levine of the Institute's Applied Research & Program Evaluation business group.
The study's results were covered by multiple media outlets including The Berkshire Eagle and iBerkshires.com.
