Forum looks at ‘The Changing Face of Human Services’
A report on the future of the human service workforce commissioned by The Provider's Council, a statewide association of health and human service agencies, was dicussed at an April 6 event. Christina Citino, a senior research manager from the UMass Donahue Institute, and Michael Goodman, the executive director of the Public Policy Center and an associate professor at UMass Dartmouth, discussed their preliminary research during “The Changing Face of Human Services” forum in Natick.
One of the key findings was that the expected strong growth of human services positions may outstrip the supply of available qualified workers in the state.
