Study of factors affecting health care practitioners’ use of research-based practices in cancer care released
This report presents the findings of a survey of 2,864 health care practitioners. The survey, conducted by the UMass Donahue Institute for the National Cancer Institute’s Office of Education and Special Initiatives, will inform NCI’s program plan for increasing the awareness and implementation of evidence-based practices among health practitioners involved in cancer care. The survey engaged practitioners from primary care (physicians and nurse practitioners) and selected cancer care specialists (oncologists, nurse oncologists, and oncology social workers).
