Rosario Dominguez to join New England Head Start training and technical assistance group as co-director
The UMass Donahue Institute is proud to announce that Rosario Dominguez is the incoming Region 1 Head Start T/TA Coordinator. In this position she will also serve as co-director of the New England Head Start Training & Technical Assistance Network.
Ms. Dominguez brings to the Institute a rich history with Head Start at the national, regional, and local levels, as well as other diverse human services experience. Ms. Dominguez is presently the Grantee Specialist Manager for Head Start’s Region XI. Prior to that she served on the staffof the National Head Start Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations. Her additional Head Start experience includes Communities United Head Start and Child Care in Waltham, MA, where she served as the Multi-Services Supervisor, and Community Servings in Boston, MA, where she was as Vice President of Programs.
She received her masters in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a bachelor’s in political science with a specialization in education from Carleton College. Additionally she has received graduate credit from Wheelock College in early childhood education and program management.
Ms. Dominguez will join the Institute in late June, providing her the opportunity to overlap with Bess Emanuel who is retiring after more than a dozen years with the Institute. Ms. Dominguez will co-direct the group with Ruth-Ann Rasbold who is also the group’s Early Childhood Manager.
