Pakistan professors join Grinspoon entrepreneur conference in Springfield
Members of the Balochistan University Partnership attended the Grinspoon, Garvey and Young Entrepreneurship Conference in Springfield, Mass. on November 4th.
The six business professors joined over 600 people including students from all 14 area colleges/universities as well as business people from area businesses and organizations to listen to and discuss business pitches. The pitches centered on not only for-profit ventures but also social entrepreneurship.
The Pakistani professors, representing three universities in the city of Quetta (BUITEMS, University of Balochistan and Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University) are in Amherst this fall in collaboration with the UMass Civic Initiative to learn about business venture creation and organization as well as case study development and the pedagogy of teaching entrepreneurialism to their students in Pakistan.
