ODLS Client Spotlight: Mass. Division of Banks (DOB)
Manager Development Curriculum
ODLS provided the Massachusetts Division of Banks with a management skill development series for approximately 30 of its managers, who oversee approximately 120 union staff comprised of bank examiners, license examiners, and administrative personnel. Our training series focused on core skills all managers should master to be effective in engaging, developing and retaining talent, and driving the performance of their team members.
Each session was designed to engage participants and stimulate dialogue so that managers can also learn from their peers. This learning series was paired with reflective questions and learning assignments designed to further support skill development and behavior change, which were reinforced during a post-session webinar. Participants discussed and applied tools/techniques presented during each program using real-life scenarios.
This learning series was comprised of four management skill-building programs:
Session 1: Communicating as a Manager
Session 2: Helping Your People to GROW through Coaching
Session 3: Managing a Remote Workforce
Session 4: Labor Relations
