Institute awarded preferred vendor status for training in MA
From over 150 applications received this year, the Massachusetts Operational Services Division (OSD) awarded only twenty vendors the PRF-29 contract. The UMass Donahue Institute, with its long tradition of partnering and providing professional training services in the state, is one of the award recipients.
The PRF-29 replaces the former state contract for Training and Organizational Development and emphasizes broader collaboration with multiple vendors and consultants. Selected vendors have the capacity to provide a range of qualified trainers and effective quality courses and an established quality assurance policy of evaluating effectiveness and quality of delivery. The capacity to offer a variety of delivery methods was also required and includes instructor-led, e-learning or blended learning options.
The PRF-29 qualifies the UMass Donahue Institute to offer professional development training within the broad categories of Employee Development, Management/Supervisory Skills, and Business Management Skills. In addition, the Institute is qualified to provide Instructional Design, Course Development and Content Delivery based on adult learning theory.
Specific areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:
Comprehensive needs assessments
Learner analysis
Developing behavioral learning objectives
Instructional strategy implementation
Materials development including facilitator guides, notes and learner materials
Evaluation and learning transfer methodology
Training of in-house trainers
