CareerWorks to host Brockton job fair
More than 26 businesses, from industries ranging from finance to health and human services, will be represented at a job fair for Brockton-area job seekers. Scheduled for April 8 at The Conference Center at Massasoit, the fair was coordinated by CareerWorks, the One-Stop Career Center administered through the UMass Donahue Institute.
Employers will be seeking candidates to fill over 100 active job openings in industrial sales, marketing, transportation, nursing, warehouse and office work, custodial work, finance, accounting, security, home health, and customer service. Attendees should dress professionally and bring an ample supply of resumes, as career counselors and other staff will be on hand to review resumes and offer constructive feedback.
CareerWorks regularly organizes career and job fairs to connect Brockton-area job seekers with local employers. The current unemployment rate in the Brockton region is 9.5 percent, while Massachusetts unemployment is at 7.2 percent.
