Initial grant is $15,000 and focuses on homeless families
The City of Brockton has received a Working Cities Challenge Grant through the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The grant is targeted at working with homeless families in the Brockton Public Schools. Part of the grant will address workforce development through which CareerWorks is involved. Brockton received an initial Design Grant of $15,000 and is now eligible to compete for a three year implementation grant in the spring of 2016.
Core members from each team attended a State House ceremony on November 15 where Governor Baker kicked off “The Working Cities Challenge”.
