In collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, WES developed the SIIP Demonstration Implementation guides as a resource for state and local governments, community-based organizations, institutions, and other entities seeking to develop and scale immigrant and refugee workforce inclusion. This guide focuses on effective strategies for filling critical health care shortages, presenting successful approaches and examples from state and local partners who fostered inclusive pathways into the health care workforce as part of their SIIP Demonstration work. In this guide, organizations can learn from the approaches taken by African Bridge Network and the International Medical Graduates Academy in building foundational understanding and relationships, engaging with and supporting employers, and providing training and professional opportunities to clients.
