Becker College hosts refugee entrepreneur event

Local refugee entrepreneurs who have already successfully launched their own businesses will share their successes and challenges with attendees. A tailor, a cellphone repair shop owner and restaurateurs are among those who will present their stories.
Foreign-born entrepreneurs account for more than 37 percent of all business owners in the city, double the statewide rate, according to research by UMass Donahue Institute and UMass Public Policy Center.
