Town approves McCall plans
The town of Winchester used population estimates from the Instiute in order consider expansions at McCall Middle School.

Winchester engaged the UMass Donahue Institute to analyze the town’s 2026 projection enrollments and validate its accuracy. It turns out that Winchester’s population has been increasing at higher than average levels since 2010. Jobs growth in places where Winchester residents work - Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Woburn, Burlington and Waltham - have been increasing faster than the nation and other parts of the state since the end of the recession. Nearby job opportunities with short communities add to Winchester’s growing appeal.
