WGGB segment on Holyoke St. Pat's parade and UMDI study
WGGB ABC 40/Fox 6 Springfield featured a segment on Holyoke’s upcoming St. Patrick’s Day parade, citing a UMass Donahue Institute study which looked at the parade’s economic contributions to the region. The study found that the event attracts more than 400,000 spectators and generates over $20 million dollars for the local regional economy, resulting in a yearly boon for the city’s shops, restaurants and other businesses.
