WGBY's Connecting Point: Ten Years of Making Connections
Mike Hannahan, director of the UMass Civic Initiative, appeared on WGBY’s public affairs program “Connecting Point” to speak with host Jim Madigan on the history and continuing mission of the Civic Initiative, the UMass-based program that brings students and scholars from throughout the world to Amherst for courses that explore public policy and civic engagement.
As the Civic Initiative celebrates its 10th Anniversary, Hannahan discussed the program’s growth and the role of Civic Initiative Fellows, UMass students who are selected to live, study, and work alongside the program’s international participants.
