Study: About 670 jobs in the south eastern region of Vermont could be lost
From the article:
"The Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant has been decommissioned for about eight months now and many businesses in the area say they’ve been negatively affected. The reason why is because many restaurants, hotels and retail stores are seeing less people since the power plant was decommissioned. More than 600 people worked at the plant and contributed to the local economy there.According to a study published by the UMass Donahue Institute, about 670 jobs in the south eastern region of Vermont could be lost due to less business in the area."
