Springfield, Western Massachusetts, populations growing slowly or not at all, census data show
The US Census Bureau released state population statistics for 2010-2014 via the American Community Survey program. The Springfield Republican interviewed the Institute's Susan Strate about the population trends for Springfield and other western Massachusetts communities.
UMass Donahue Institute is the home of the Massachusetts State Data Center which serves as the official sources of state demographic, economic, and social statistics produced by the Census Bureau.
