NPC Berkshires to hold program evaluation workshop
The Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires will hold the workshop “Program Evaluation Basics for Non-Profit Organizations” Thursday, Sept. 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hotel on North.

Rresented by Penny Brierly-Bowers and Jennifer Gordon of the UMass Donahue Institute’s Applied Research and Program Evaluation group, the workshop will provide an overview of program evaluation approaches that nonprofit organizations can use to obtain stakeholder feedback, improve program implementation and assess the impact of their work. Through a series of real-world case examples and hands-on activities, participants will be able to identify if their organizations are ready for program evaluation, as well as learn evaluation approaches be best suited to an organization’s needs. There will also be discussion of the leading practices in the three key phases of evaluation: developing research questions, data collection and an approach to data analysis.
