UMass Center in downtown Springfield fulfilling promise as base for academics, community engagement
Three years after it opened, the UMass Center at Springfield is growing its presence in downtown Springfield through more course offerings, touting its connections with UMass Amherst and increasing connections with area businesses and other academic institutions.
"We're in a great physical position in the heart of downtown Springfield, but we aren't limited by physical boundaries. Anyone can tie into a classroom from here. It's a place for community connection," said Daniel Montagna, Director of Operations.
