Jobs are growing, so why not wages? MassBenchmarks analyzes the state economy

Since the end of the Great Recession in late 2009, the state unemployment rate has fallen from a high of 10 percent to its current rate near 4 percent, MassBenchmarks said. Over this period, total employment has grown by 385,400, the working age population has increased by 316,300, and the labor force has grown by 239,000.

That means employment growth across the commonwealth has outpaced population growth and growth in the labor force.

But wages are stagnating?
