Republican: Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse talks about the significance of the St. Patrick's Parade
Mayor Alex Morse discussed the positive economic impact of the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade, as well as the “cultural and historical significance” of the celebration in an interview with The Republican.
Morse cited the UMass Donahue Institute’s report on the economic activity generated by the parade. The report found that the parade attracts approximately 400,000 spectators and generates 254 jobs and $20.5 million in local spending.
