Providence Business Journal: MassBenchmarks: State growth outpaces nation in 2Q
The Providence Business News summarized the findings of the latest MassBenchmarks bulletin on the state of the Massachusetts economy. During the second quarter of 2102, the Commonwealth’s economy grew at a four percent rate, compared to the nation’s 1.2 percent growth rate. At the same time, the state’s unemployment measured at 6 percent, down from 6.5 percent in the previous quarter. The U.S. unemployment rate remained at 8.2 percent.
