Pakistan-US Exchange Program for Teachers
UMass Civic Initiative director Mike Hannahan, along with Professor Rebecca Woodland from the UMass Amherst College of Education, appeared on "World This Moring" to discuss the teacher training program they led recently in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Instructional Leadership Institute for Pakistani Educators (ILIPE) is a cultural exchange program funded by the U.S. State Department that provides training in learning-centered teaching methods. The next phase of the 2018 program will be this summer at UMass Amherst.
ILIPE alumni Umair Qureshi and Fauzieh Merchant also joined the program.
