Aging population, changing services
The populations of Townsend and Pepperell, Massachusetts are expected to decrease between 2010 and 2030 while segmet over age 65 is expected to increase during that time period, according to numbers released by the Institute's Population Estimates Program. This will likely mean a change in the types of the services the towns will provide to its citizens, said town officials.
