New Report Highlights Economic Impact Of Mass. Defense Industry
The defense industry is a major contributor to the economy of New England, based on an Institute report released on December 18.
WAMC (see link below), The Springfield Republican, BusinessWest, WWLP and MetroWest Daily News covered the report's release in the context of Gov. Charlie Baker's recent visit to Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, MA.
The report was underwritten by MassDevelopment for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Military Asset & Security Strategy Task Force.
The Institue also release similar reports about the economic impact of the state's defense industry in 2010 and 2012.
