Healey expects $16B return on climate tech investment

Multiple outlets covered the announcement in Watertown of Governor Maura Healey's climate tech legislation that, if passed, would stimulate $16 billion in economic activity in the state.

Governor Healey: “The UMass Donahue Institute has studied this. And they have found that if you take the $1.3 billion investment in climate technology that we are proposing, we will see a return of $16.4 billion in economic activity over the next 10 years.”

Mark Melnik, director of Economic & Public Policy Research was introduced by Gov. Healey at the event.

The event was covered by WWLP, State House News Service and WBZ radio.
