MassLive and Providence Business News: MassBenchmarks board says recovery continuing but threatened by COVID
The new MassBenchmarks "Current and Leading Indexes" report assesses the state of the Massachusetts economy. This installment found that the Massachusetts real gross domestic product increased at a 6.2% annualized rate in the second quarter while the overall U.S. economy grew at 6.5%, and that the state’s payroll employment increased at a 4.3% annualized rate in the quarter, slower than the national annualized rate of 4.7%.
