Hannahan discusses US elections during tour of Indonesia
Michael Hannahan, director of the Civic Initiative in the Donahue Institute, is just back from a two-week trip to Indonesia where he traveled around the country speaking to interested groups about the current U.S elections.
Sponsored by the U.S. State Department, the trip included multiple lectures and interviews regarding the 2008 presidential campaigns, as well as the general topic of campaigns in the U.S.
Hannahan, a visiting scholar in Political Science, visited the capital, Jakarta, as well as Denpasar, Singaraja, Surabaya and Pekanbaru. During his trip he met with government officials, political party organizations, academics, community leaders and business groups.

The Civic Initiative develops and manages educational, academic, and research programs dealing with democracy and civic institutions and process.
