Seasonal homes put squeeze on seniors, service workers

The Donahue Institute at the University of Massachusetts has released a study showing that more than one-third of the houses on Cape are largely unoccupied seasonal homes. It is expected that a new wave of older residents will arrive soon, expecting services and entertainment as they live out their retirement fantasy, their leisurely reward after a lifetime of work. Who will provide those services may become an important issue.
