The state’s real gross domestic product increased at an annualized rate of 7.9% in the fourth quarter, according to a new MassBenchmarks estimate, a much lower rate of growth than the previous quarter.
Still, Massachusetts' economic growth appears to have outpaced the nation as a whole at the end of 2020. National GDP grew at an estimated 4% annualized rate in the fourth quarter, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
