Boston Business Journal: Mass. consumer confidence down as slowdown predicted
The Boston Business Journal included the findings of the latest MassBenchmarks bulletin in an article discussing declines in consumer confidence levels related to predictions of slowed economic growth. While the Massachusetts economy grew at a rate of 4 percent during the second quarter of 2012, consumer confidence fell four points. MassBenchmarks predicts that the state's growth rate will slow to 3.7 percent in the third quarter, and 3.6 percent in the fourth.
