Tourism Report Shows Tourism industry plagued with low pay and high turnover
Mark Melnik, director of the Institute's Economic & Public Policy Research group, was interviewed by Bloomberg Radio about the recent analysis of the Massachusetts leisure, hospitality, and tourism workforce.
Funded by the Boston Foundation, the report takes the first in-depth look at the Massachusetts leisure, hospitality and tourism (LHT) industry in decades, and finds that while the sector quickly rebounded from the Great Recession, it is still plagued with low pay and high turnover.
